You first need to retrieve 5 MT-09's FuelK items for Kay's recycled machine research. She says that you can find Machine MT-09's through the hidden entrance in Omega Sector: Boswell Field VI.

  3. I went around and collected the fuel for MT-09. This was for Kay the Engineer, who was at the Silo of the Omega Sector. I wonder what kind of a machine Kay will make with the fuel...
