Weapon usage

I was wondering which one is better when using fighter, axe or sword. I realise axe can do much more dmg than sword when str is very high cos of the formula in hidden-street. Could you all please give me your suggestion? Thanks :)

Axe:

- Cheaper
- Higher Max, Lower Min (damage)
- Level 60 and 70 look nice
- Small Range
- Slower

Sword:

- Looks are better than Axe for most people
- More Range
- Lower Max, Higher Min (damage)
- More Expensive
- Faster

This is like the argument on STR Bandit v. LUK Bandit. STR Bandit is more stable damage, but lower, LUK has the chance to do higher damages, but a little less stable. So the question is, do you want stable damage or ranging damage that will occasionally be higher.

By the way, I was observing the damage calculations more, and it would seem Swords would do more damage than Axes on average due to the calculation of Minimum damage...

More range for sword? I thought they have about the same range. And one more question. Should we take speed into account. I see axe speed is normal in higher level.

Swords in my mind look the best and you can attack with them faster. You should try out both at low lvl before it gets pricy and see which you think is the best. :D

Mix and match. Compare your hits, and the differences in the weapons. Usually I do this with staffs/wands to see which is best for my magical attacks, further more it enables me to decide what to get next :D

it dont matter they are the same imo it just depends on what u wanna use. also there is no difference between a page using swords and a fighter using swords no difference what so ever thats my my page is a sword wielding beast

Since I'm not really in to doing all those damage calculation things, I would just pick whichever was more attractive.

Yes, swords have a bit longer range. Compare Groonhill and Crono. Swords are faster than Axes. (edited my post)

Sword does more average damage than an axe.... So i would suggest you use sword.
