yea later on they get thrust which is like passive haste...but you still can't jump as high...plus thieves are the sexy class
we get monkey suits for lvl 90 and pirate suits too on top of that we have at least about 5 different main builds for our class pssh~ what you got like 2-3
on top of that later on bandits have sexy hawt moves and sins have cool moves and if we ever get cash shop hopefully we will get the cash stars

also to add in jms is the only version where i think archers really pwn because they elemental arrows from differnt monsters (blue birds make ice arrows)

Let's see, you're throwing an advanced star compared to a normal arrow. Throw some Subis and let's see how well you do. You also have to take equipment bonuses into account.

To actually know if Archer are better than Assassins, we'd need an Archer that is Lvl 70+ and an Assassin that is Lvl 70+ to post their damage averages.

Sure, Sins can do a bit more in the short run, but you'll see once you get into the long run that Archers WILL be the most damaging class.

first of all the damage of assassins are calculated differently
you see assassins have very low attack weapons to compensate for the fact that they get attk from there stars infact its cut almost in half..

meba(lvl 25 claw) 16 Attk
Battle Bow(lvl 25 bow) 40 Attk

now subis are +15 Attk stars and kumbis Are +21 now 21+16 surely =37 which still makes my stars a little short attack wise of your bow.

So i am taking heed of an already handicapped class...that STILL out damages archers and your asking me to handicap myself further? do you ask the kid in the wheel chair for an extra tire because you got a flat?
btw if i use steelys i can break 2k damage even 2.2k damage so yea...

No. Archer dmg isn't random. There's something called mastery. And who cares if he used ****ty stars, you need to use expensive stuff while archers pwns with basic arrows.

My level 32 crossbowman can take off 1100 from time to time due to Critical Shot, when it wasn't getting Criticals, it would hit for about 500 per arrow.

Once I drug myself up on warrior pots, use bronze arrows and use Double Shot, I can take off up to 1300 if both arrows are Critical.

Archers are better in power and speed.
Sins are better in... uhm... looks... >_>
Though, I do find Sins more fun to use than Archers.

My crossbowman only does around one thousand and fifty with arrow blow and critical, it's level thirty-five with standard gear and perfect stats.

It's because you use Arrow Blow.
Double Shot has a smaller damage percentage than Arrow Blow, but if both arrows critical, it outdamages Arrow Blow. Of course the damage is kind of unstable but mastery can fix that.
Use Double Shot instead of Arrow Blow.

you ask me to throw subis because it's not fair to compare the 2 with assassins using upgraded starswell just for the hell of it find me a lvl 44 hunter and i'll use my lvl 44 assassin and we shall see who outdamages who....on top of that i'm already handicapping myself by using crappy kumbis if i used the steelys i had i'd wipe the floor with your damage.
on top of that assassin clothes > archer clothes. and on top of that assassins are made for fast hitting action which they do and they're supposed to be paying a consequence in damage because they hit so much faster but they still outdamage archers.

also later on assassins still do better because they get extra damge calculated into they're attack through shadow partner..
well anyways say you calculate the damage with critical well assassins get critical 50% of the times and it's 200% damage. for archers its 40% chance of happening and 200% damage. now after counting that

Lucky 7 = throw 2 stars each one does 150% damage
Double Shot = shoot 2 stars each one does 130% damage


so assassins do (150%x2)+(150%x2) (if they get critical on both)
hunters do (130x2)+(130x2) (if they get critical on both)
so assassins do 600% damage
hunters do 520% damage

and lets add that into kyarris damage calculations
assassins = 5364 damage
hunters = 2865.2 (rounded down to 2865)

so as you we're saying...now i added it in and we do a good double your damage almost.

Archers own sins in certain levels, then sins catch up again and so on.
Damage isn't everything. Fastest leveling, best skills, best armor/weapons, coolest clothing (Which is an idiotic reason IMO), cheapest, most HP, etc.

Now, this is just my opinion, so don't bite my ****ing head off for stating it, but Archers > Sins.

I believe that Sins are oversaturated as it is, and now that Naruto's out on Cartoon Network, every little kid will be running around, wanting to make a Sin and wanted to get Steelys, running around shouting "ZOMG I M SASUKE PLOXX LOLZ", or something similar. That, and really, they're kinda plain. Wow, they can jump around and throw stars at monsters. Well, where's the variety in attacks? Lucky Seven. That's it. Kinda plain if you ask me. And really, Haste isn't all that. I mean sure, it's nice, but I can take a few minutes out of my day to get to somewhere else at a slower pace. "ZOMG LOLX I TAK UR SPWN CUZ I GOT HUR FRIST!1!!" So what? I'll just switch channels and ignore you. Who's the better person? (:

Archers, however, are pretty fun later on in levels. Soul Arrow + Double Shot + Arrow Bomb = YES. <3 Why bother trying to race to kill an enemy or mob when you can stun them and take your time with them? That, or just kill them all at once? And sorry, but when it comes to Third Job Skills? Archers win, hands down. Sure, Alchemist is nice, but eh, I can live without it. Flash Jump is pretty as well, but when you think about it, it's just Teleport for Thieves. You can't even combine L7 with it, so that doesn't make it all that cool. And Shadow Partner? Max = 80% damage to enemy from the partner. So you hit the enemy four times, right? Well, with Strafe, you can also hit the enemy four times. Only you deal 100% of the damage. PLUS four chances for Critical Shot to kick in. That, and with Thrust, you don't have to worry about moving at a snail's pace. At max, it's almost the same as Haste, without the jump and 10 less speed. However, that's not all that bad, considering that it's passive. Or yeah, and Puppet. You don't have to take damage with that on. (: You can move about, owning enemies, while the puppet takes all of your hits. I'm not even going to start on the Hawk or the new Arrow techs. ;P

That, and really, they're kinda plain. Wow, they can jump around and throw stars at monsters. Well, where's the variety in attacks? Lucky Seven. That's it. Kinda plain if you ask me. You really can't say which is better, because they're both good at different things.

Some people want to compare how much damage either can do.

Others want to compare how much time, money, and effort it takes into training one of these classes.

Either way, it doesn't matter.

My friend had a Lvl 32 Archer on Scania. It did 800 from time to time due to Critical Shot, and when it wasn't getting Criticals, it would hit for about 300 per arrow.

Now.. I have a Lvl 29 Assassin on Scania, and it isn't even getting over 500 damage with Lucky Seven. I highly doubt it could pull that off when it gets to Lvl 32.

Therefore, Archers win. Shut up.

well then i guess ur just stupid, cus my fiend has a 35 sin and he was definetly doing 500+ by 32--he's done 1100+ at 34...

and since everyone else is doing it, sins win

yes i am aware of steel arrows and my friend uses them now so whats your point it took her to get to lvl 46 to hit 2k damage when i am hitting that at lvl 44..on top of that later on i know archers get more skills..im not even counting those other skills assassins get
and most are not practical for not training...
there have been and will be much debate on this topic

and like someon else said ealier whateve is more fun is better
and this is true and sins stlil win because most people will agree assassins are the most fun class...

and if we were to get really on who is better it is definetly bandits
seeing as you are saying xbow when just like the tiheves archers are seprerated the same

bandits/xbow =stronger but slower
assassins/hunters = faster but weaker

In my own opinion, each class has its own ups and downs at different times. Hamster(don't know how to spell this person's name) is a flamer. :evil: Now I'm not trying to do anything bad, but I think this post should be deleted. :twisted: :evil: :twisted: :evil:

and each class does have its up and downs but i just hate how almost everywhere i go people are all like sins suck but it's cause they're jealous..

anyways...it doesn't really matter which is better because in the end this 'debate' has influenced noone because although it is a debate noone will change there thoughts on either class just by reading this..and for future debates such as these..

a debate must have information to debate on to be a debate..like if i presented you with information of over time damage and dinlge attack damage and then let you decide which is which and heard each sides arument and then came to a common agreement over the 2(although everyone will leave with their own view of it still)
