...same with sins....
Its always more on what you prefer to do. Range attack or Direct attack.
Eventually Maxed Lucky seven with mastery and critical with + attack speed will do more than Maxed salvage blow but they stay teh same till lvl 70. So damage wise it really doesnt matter. And at lvl 70 you got third jobs gives bandits a lot of "interesting" abilities.
Damage wise it depends how you like playing. But its almost the same either way. Also. Salvage blow is overrated. Someone using Maxed Salvage Blow will do like 250 250 250 250 250 250... Maybe up to 300. Thats Around 1500... with a maxed attack remember...
Without Maxing Critical, Lucky seven will do 750, 750. A whole lot of 250 seems great, but its basically the same as lucky seven.
A sin can use Drain to get rid of the needs for potions. Its a really cool attack.
A bandit can use pick pocket to steal some items, which is kinda fun.
So it all depends on how you like to play. Do you like to attack from far away, or do you like to stab directly? There are good sides for sins though, with range you never get hit, and you can drain if you do get hit. Once mastered there is almost no difference anways.
Also, Sins are a bit more expensive, for throwing stars, and their abilties.
This is why we have MESO UP, and SHADOW MESO.
What really fasinates players is the shadow jump technique. Jump twice WHEHEEE. Or Avenger, which allows you to throw a big big big star.
Then again there are bandits that can summon up NPC bandits to fight with you, or you can blow ppl up with mesos, or (my personal favorite for a bandit) Assulter.

Lets put it this way.....
Bandit's SB does 6 shots.
Sin's L7 with critical does 2 shots.
And pretened they will do the same damage to snails.
Now go to Lycans or utmis.
Bandit's damage will be lower because the defence formula on the monster applies 6 times on 6 shots of SB.
Sin's L7 does more because the defence formula will only apply 2 times thous does more damage.
Sins are range=better to me

Or put it this way,
when ur hunting with a sin, and run outta stars and mp in the middle of nowhere, and there are like a buncha of lycans around you ur dead
if ur hunting with a bandit, and same thing happens u can atleast atk em instead of die.
and sins can only atk far range, so if ur in a real small area wif a bunch of monsters all u can do is punch and nuting else

Sins have really unstable damage. Sometimes it's high, sometimes it isn't.

30th September 2005, 06:35 AM
Hey how about this......
Sins can jump shoot which eliminates the problem of punching and 3rd job flash jump lets you jump even higher over huge enemies.....
and running outta stars in lvl 50 area sucks(the only huge set back of sins and can not be eliminated .:( Why do archers get soul arrow and sins don't get soul stars)....
PS:I know why sins don't get skill like soul arrow so don't post to just correct me .:D

bandits will pwn alot on lvl 55(mastered haste, sb max, mastery 19, booster5)
and sure they'll suck later to a sin because of the stars the can throw and less mp they use and range.
but come 3rd job, the Chief bandits can do alot of killing.
hermits cant do much mass kills as well.

Meso explosion is not that efficient to use on a daily training bases.
Cost so much to damage a lot and you won't be getting profit by using it as every shot(unless you get god like drops often).

meso expolsion kills more monsters dan sins can kill at once, so it increases the drop rate or items

Still if you kill a lot at once there is still a very slime chance of picking up something that worth like 1 million.
And if you do it will only support you for like 20 meso xpolde if you use 50k mesos each shot.
But that way you still get no profit only exp.

look at this picture http://members.chello.nl/hdijks/3rdjob.htm
it shows a bandit using mesos explosion and mesos are dropping and still getting profit

I hope you realise that Meso Explosion does not hit that many times in one activation. When maxed it only hits 20 enemies. So that picture on the website, the bandit has used Meso Explosion multiple times. Also, Assaulter pwns. It looks like Fox's skill from Super Smash Bros Melee. Either way, I like Bandits more, as I think Sins are the exact same thing as Archers, but with a twist. BTW I have a Hunter, so I won't be Sin. However, I am currently using a Hybrid build(Banditsin).

I don't like bbandit because you keep on replacing attack skills after the job advance.(except for banditsins AKA assbandit XD)
Assaulter is not that better than SB look at this
http://img276.imageshack.us/img276/9193/compare6hm.png
SB is 6*80=480%
and assailter is 450%
and maybe defence apply on all 6 SB shots but SB has more %

OUTTA STARS? You'RE KIDDING! THATS LIKE SAYING AN EXPERIENCED ARCHER RAN OUT OF ARROWS :D
A good sin never runs out of stars, either because they keep track, or they have so many. Also, sins DO INDEED TO STABLE DAMAGE when you do mastery.
Also, if a sin DOES run out they can also use a dagger with stable damage without mastering dagger mastery for fine amounts of damage anyways.
And sins dont run out of hp pots. They jump and shoot, and have drain.
Bandits run out of hp pots, they attack directly.
Sins will run out of mp pots using lucky seven.
Bandits will kill their mp pots using double stab which is teh same mp use, and salvage blow which kills your mp.

No they DON'T DO INDEED STABLE DAMAGE WITH MASTERY! One thing is lucky seven doesn't base damage on mastery! Gasp! To top it off, critical works half the time with 200% bonuses! Oh no! 50%?! That means we can do 50% and 75% of our max damage so oftenly!
Bandits are more stable than assassins. Damage for a bandit isn't based on a skill which requires a chance activation.

No, it's not. Archers don't need a single arrow in their inventory due to soul arrow. Meaning even if they forget to buy arrows, they can still shoot! Assassins can't though. Oh, and what happens when you burn all your stars at zakum? Yeah, you'll take a break, walk out, recharge and waltz back in.
Also, if a sin DOES run out they can also use a dagger with stable damage without mastering dagger mastery for fine amounts of damage anyways.
That's saying that bandits are stable before mastery.

No, you don't. Lots of people continue using SB after third job.
General rule is bandits attack with less power but more speed and stability, while assassins attack with more power, but less speed and stability. Unless, of course, you count meso explosion, which isn't a staple attack.

But, b4 u get drain, don't ppl usually choose to master the wep or increase in dmg?
wouldn't they be like, lvl 60 b4 they actually get past haste, crit, and mastery?

I have one question. Is javelin mastery useless to assasins?

hell yes! it gives you a hell of a lot of extra stars per stack for one thing, and it increases your acc and minimum damage with normal attacks, drain, avenger, et cetera.

Hermits use avenger... ive seen it woop up to so many things... (cold eyes)
Mp isn't an issue for hermit:
Shadow meso
If your level 70+ enough to have shadow mesos, you obviously have a few mesos to spare for attacking... i believe this also deals with the no star problem
if im repeating its because i didn't read... (all of it). Sins rock, imo, since i've seen videos (i don't care if their level 100+, their still doing it) dealing like 2k per hit using l7 and shadow partner = 8k damage... woot

Assassins all the way. It's so much cooler to thow stars. Now i'm not saying that bandits must burn in hell,(they need room down there for martha and mj), but there is one thing assassins do allmost as well as mages. ksing. I know people complain about it, but the look on a "beginer"'s face is just so cute! :D

haha, this topic seems to be just a my-house-is-richer-than-your-house kinda thing.
plus, I hate to be burnin hp pots, so that's why i became long range,
to me, any close ranger just feels like a beginner with flash.
(no offence to bandits n warriors)
