Default Intermittent "Lag"

For some reason whenever I play MapleStory on this computer I get intermittent "lag" every three to eight seconds. It makes gameplay annoying, and looting items in party quests near impossible as every time it hits the game freezes up for a second or two. All attacks and skills pause (Unless it was in mid animation) but I can move left or right continuously. Also monsters still hurt me and catch up with me during this 'lag'. I never had any problems playing more graphically intense games like Mabinogi. Any idea what could be causing it? Specs below:
=================
OS: Vista Home Premium
CPU: Intel Pentium Dual CPU T2370 1.73GHz x2
Memory: 2GB
GPU: Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset Family
Video Memory: 358MB
=================

I'm currently connected wirelessly at 54mbps but I've tried it with a Cat 5 before and it still does the same thing. I have no delay in any of my actions, the whole game just locks up. Help!

I've only encountered this problem when I was using my neighbor's wireless. It sounds like net lag to me. What is your ping to the MS server? (I have no idea of an IP)

But I can not recommend anything more to you other than reinstalling MapleStory, just to see if that fixes anything. It could be a fragmentation issue, but that's all I can come up with.

If he doesn't have the problem on any other games, I don't see how it could be a connection problem. He's used wireless and ethernet. :|

Well, it could just be a crappy comp, and everyones lagging cause of KoC, its just server lag, but if your in scania, it may not be a crappy comp, scania just has even worse server lag than before.

Not that it matters because I don't know the server address:

Pings:
Google.Com: 28ms
Maplestory.Nexon.Net: 62ms
Hidden-Street.Net: 92ms

Like I said I'm not getting any delay. When it's server lag the most notable thing is being unable to instantly pick up items. I have no such issue, just intermittent freezing.

My computer specs (That I already posted) are far above the minimum and reccommended levels, also I have played Maplestory on several computers with far lower specs, and never had this problem.

Right now I'm plugged in through a Cat 5 so as to make sure that the network isn't the issue, which doesn't seem to be, still having the same problem. I don't understand this because as I said, Mabinogi worked just fine and it has way higher required specs.
