  1. You decided to go to the Daniella Merchant Union and meet Gilberto Daniella. You needed to find a way to gain his trust if you wanted to establish peaceful relations with Commerci.

  2. You tried to find the Daniella Merchant Union in San Commerci, but the city was so enormous! You asked around to see if anyone could point you toward Gilberto Daniella, but nobody was all that helpful. Was this guy really that influential? There was a robbery! Tepes, from the Daniella Merchant Union, left some goods at the trading post. Supposedly, he picked them up later, but he denied ever doing so. What a mystery! You decided to investigate, thinking that solving this debacle would get you a shot at meeting Gilberto. When you investigated at the Trading Post, they claimed Tepes picked up the goods himself.Maestra FIametta said she noticed something strange, though. Although the goods looked ready to be shipped, they were taken away in a cart instead of straight to a boat. This seemed like a solid clue... You took some time to really think about what you learned so far.You concluded that the thief escaped via the canals, and headed there. Then, you ran into the thief! The thief ditched the goods, and you couldn't leave the goods behind, so the thief got away. You returned the goods to Tepes, who was relieved. You asked Tepes to set up a meeting with Gilberto of the Daniella Merchant Union. He agreed, though he said it'd be difficult. He told you to go to the white building east of fountain square. You tried to talk to Gilberto there, but were rebuffed. He said he didn't talk to anyone without an appointment. Argh! You decided to try again. Tepes appeared and explained how you had helped him out, so you finally had a chance to introduce yourself to Gilberto, though you suspected he'd think you were a devil if you told him you came from across the barrier.Unfortunately, Leon arrived on the scene and revealed that fact anyway. Gilberto said nothing, but you could tell he was deep in thought. Gilberto's reaction earlier was troubling you. Did he think you were a liar? Leon said you were over-thinking things and suggested checking out the guild. Not a bad idea, but Gilberto's reaction still lingered on your mind.Voices from below caught your attention, and you learned that you were right, Gilberto didn't trust you. You needed to find a way to gain his trust if you wanted to establish peaceful relations with Commerci.
